NRL Round 26 Tips

Thursday 24/8/23

7:50pm Penrith Panthers vs Parramatta Eels @ BlueBet Stadium

The Panthers are the best team in the competition and bookmakers have another big line against the Eels.

Penrith is the –18.5 favourite, which is understandable given the form of the Panthers and the Eels, but the Eels could be more desperate.

They’re good enough to keep it close and test the Panthers, who don’t need to win.

Betting tip: Eels +18.5 @ $1.90

Panthers vs Eels – betr Same Game Multi

We’ve teamed up with betr to provide the GoBet Multi for the first game of every round of the 2023 NRL season.

The Eels could keep this game close and cover the +18.5 spread, so we’re confident in including them in our same game multi. It could be a low-scoring game, which could materialise into a defensive battle. Under 42.5 total match points is worth including, and to cap off the multi, we’re including Mitchell Moses to score a try at generous odds.

Friday 25/8/23

6:00pm New Zealand Warriors vs St George Dragons @ Daniel Anderson Stadium

The Warriors are rolling, but as we saw last week against Manly, they struggle to cover big spreads.

Bookmakers have the Warriors at –16.5, and that’s a huge line for the Kiwi team to cover, especially after beating Manly by only a small margin.

The Dragons are terrible, but the Warriors like to make things close.

Betting tip: Dragons +16.5 @ $1.90

8:00pm Dolphins vs North Queensland Cowboys @ Suncorp Stadium

The Cowboys are in desperation mode and they’re on the outside looking in.

However, the Dolphins could make life tough for their Queensland counterparts, and we think they play spoilers on Friday.

The current line is 10.5 and the Dolphins are good enough to make it close.

Betting tip: Dolphins +10.5 @ $1.90

Saturday 26/8/23

3:00pm Melbourne Storm vs Gold Coast Titans @ AAMI Park

The Melbourne Storm isn’t playing vintage league, but they’re doing enough to hold a top position.

Gold Coast isn’t playing well, but as we’ve seen throughout this week, bookmakers have a big line of 17.5 available.

That could be too much for the Storm to cover, and Gold Coast could play spoilers.

Betting tip: Titans +17.5 @ $1.90

Storm by 14

5:30pm Sydney Roosters vs Wests Tigers @ Allianz Stadium

The Roosters could take out their frustrations on the Wests Tigers, and it could be a big scoreline on Saturday.

They are currently 10th on the ladder, and they need the results to go their way to have any chance of making the NFL finals.

Improving their for and against is key this week, so expect a big win.

Betting tip: Roosters –14.5 @ $1.90

7:35pm Canberra Raiders vs Brisbane Broncos @ GIO Stadium

The Raiders haven’t played well against the best teams in the comp, and the Broncos are one of the best.

Despite needing to win this game more, we don’t have much faith with the Raiders, who didn’t look convincing against the poor Bulldogs.

The current line is 7.5, and the Broncos should have no trouble covering the spread.

Betting tip: Broncos –7.5 @ $1.90

Sunday 27/8/23

2:00pm Canterbury Bulldogs vs Manly Sea Eagles @ Accor Stadium

The Bulldogs and Sea Eagles are out of finals contention, so it’s only pride on the line this Sunday.

We’re not sure which team wants to win more, but with the Bulldogs playing at home and paying the better price, punters may as well take them to win.

$2.86 and +6.5 is a good enough price to consider the underdog against a team looking for holiday destinations.

Betting tip: Bulldogs +6.5 @ $1.90

4:05pm Newcastle Knights vs Cronulla Sharks @ McDonald Jones Stadium

The Knights are one of the hottest teams in the NRL and they could continue their historic winning run against the Sharks.

Cronulla will test them, but bookmakers are respecting the Knights at $1.68, and they could enter the finals with a full head of steam.

Confidence is king and the Knights have more than the shaky Sharks.

Betting tip: Knights –3.5 @ $1.90

Knights by 8
