NRL Round 4 Tips

Thursday 28/3/24

8:00pm Sydney Roosters vs Penrith Panthers @ Allianz Stadium

The Panthers showed their real ability when putting up a big number against the Broncos last week.

It was a fine early display of why they are the defending champions, but life could be harder against the Roosters, who also come off an impressive win.

However, in true Roosters form, they picked up some injuries, and that could be too much to overcome as the underdogs.

Betting tip: Penrith Panthers –5.5 @ $1.82

Friday 29/3/24

4:05pm South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canterbury Bulldogs @ Accor Stadium

The Rabbitohs sit in last place for the first time in years, so although it’s only Round 4, desperation is seeping in.

They haven’t looked good, but we fancy their chances of beating the Bulldogs, who were better last week, but they’re still a bad team.

However, the current line is 6.5, and that’s enough points for the Bulldogs. They should keep it close on Good Friday.

Betting tip: Canterbury Bulldogs +6.5 @ $1.90

8:00pm Brisbane Broncos vs North Queensland Cowboys @ Suncorp Stadium

Life could be tough for the Broncos, who picked up some injuries in the lost to the Panthers last week.

It appears they’re suffering from losing the Grand Final in heartbreaking fashion, and looking to cash in are the table-topping Cowboys.

They have come into premiership calculations, and beating their older brothers seems likely at a generous price of $1.83.

Betting tip: North Queensland Cowboys @ $1.83

Saturday 30/3/24

5:30pm St George Dragons vs Manly Sea Eagles @ WIN Stadium

The Dragons are an enigmatic team. They looked great in the opening round, but they were terrible since.

They now face the Sea Eagles, who were a touch unlucky not to beat the Eels last week, but it was a high-quality game.

That form bodes well against a Dragons team lacking in confidence, hence the NRL betting lines.

Betting tip: Manly Sea Eagles –8.5 @ $1.90

7:35pm Gold Coast Titans vs Dolphins @ Cbus Super Stadium

The Titans lost their captain for the season, and that should have a flow-on effect immediately.

They’re going to find it tough to recover from that, and the Dolphins come off a bye week, fully rested and ready to fire.

We’re happy with the $1.70 for the Dolphins, who should have plenty of support in the Gold Coast.

Betting tip: Dolphins @ $1.70

Sunday 31/3/24

4:05pm New Zealand Warriors vs Newcastle Knights @ Go Media Stadium

The Warriors and Knights scored their first wins of the season last week, so this should be an exciting game.

The Warriors got past the Raiders, and the Knights defeated the Storm. The Knights were more impressive at face value, but the Warriors blew numerous scoring chances, but we liked what we saw otherwise.

Most of the early money is with the home side.

Betting tip: New Zealand Warriors –5.5 @ $1.90

6:15pm Cronulla Sharks vs Canberra Raiders @ PointsBet Stadium

The Sharks were dreadful last week, losing 32-6 to the Wests Tigers of all teams.

That’s going to be tough to bounce back from, but they are favoured to beat the Raiders, who lost to the Warriors in Christchurch.

It’s a tough game to line up, but the Sharks need a bounce back effort.

Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks –5.5 @ $1.90

Monday 1/4/24

4:00pm Parramatta Eels vs Wests Tigers @ CommBank Stadium

We liked what we saw with the Eels when beating the Sea Eagles last week.

We also liked what we saw from the Tigers, who exceeded expectations when smashing the Sharks in fine style.

However, they don’t often play well in consecutive weeks, which is why the Eels are –12.5 favourites, and rightfully so.

Betting tip: Parramatta Eels –12.5 @ $1.90

Eels by 14
