Queensland took the opening game with a late comeback, which was played in true State of Origin spirit. Therefore, the Blues must bounce back otherwise the series goes to the Maroons once again.

State of Origin Game 2 Betting Predictions
We landed the prize when tipping Queensland to win in Adelaide at $2.25, but unfortunately, punters don’t get the same odds this time around.
That goes without saying, we think the Maroons are a good thing at home. They always play better at Suncorp Stadium, and winning the opening game, despite being down to 12 men at one stage, was a heroic performance.
Their confidence levels are through the roof, and because of injuries to key players for the Blues, their chances of winning are even stronger.
New South Wales are without the likes of Nathan Cleary and Api Koroisau, who are both massive losses. Cleary runs the offense and his kicking game is on-point, and Koroisau gets them going forward, so they’re going to be missed.
Mitchell Moses comes in to partner Jarome Luai, but without Cleary on his inside, we don’t rate Luai at all, so he could struggle to have an impact.
Queensland calls in Xavier Coates and Moeaki Fotuaika, so they have depth that’s unbelievable, and that’s why we’re not jumping off their back.
The Blues team looks tired and slightly out of form, with the likes of James Tedesco and Josh Addo-Carr, which opens the door for young stars such as Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Reece Walsh to have a field day in front of a sold out crowd in Brisbane.
$1.55 is short, but we’re confident in taking the Maroons –4.5. Punters could also take Queensland halftime/fulltime at $2, which is a fair price.
Bet: Queensland Maroons @ $1.55
State of Origin Game 2 First Try Scorer Tips
Xavier Coates will want to make a big impression after being recalled into the Maroons team, and he’s the current $8.50 favourite to score first.
The high-flying winger has the size advantage over Josh Addo-Carr, who is still having only his third game back from injury, so Coates could be too athletic in the air.
We expect Coates to score at some point, so $2.12 to score at any time is another excellent option, but take him to score first.
Another Queenslander worth backing is Tabuai-Fidow, who is probably the fastest player on the field. If he gets a clean linebreak, they won’t catch him, not even the Fox.
He $4.50 to be the first, second or third try scorer, which is an interesting market, and there is good value available with bookmakers.
For the Blues, there’s value in James Tedesco to bounce back in a big way and score a try. The Roosters star has been a bit out of form but he is paying a healthy $3.80 to score at any time, which is a nice price for someone of his ability.
Include him in your State of Origin 2 picks.
Bet: Xavier Coates @ $8.50
