Super Rugby continues this week with four games in Round 8.

Punters get quality to bet on in Round 8, including Brumbies vs Drua, Hurricanes vs Chiefs, and Waratahs vs Force.

We cover every Super Rugby Pacific game throughout the year.

Super Rugby Pacific Round 8 Tips

Friday 14/4/23

2:05pm Moana Pasifika vs Reds @ Apia Park

Rugby heads to Samoa as Moana Pasifika looks to rebound following a loss to the Crusaders last week.

They have played well at times, but they’re still learning how to play as a team and focus on winning. There is a lot of focus on having fun, but unless you start winning consistently, that will become tiresome.

The Reds were thumped 52-24 by the Brumbies last week, so they also need to bounce back and find their best form.

It has been a down year for the Reds, who are the $1.70 favourites to win, but there isn’t much confidence with bookmakers.

Take the home side to win at the better odds.

Betting tip: Moana Pasifika @ $2.20

7:35pm Brumbies vs Fijian Drua @ GIO Stadium

The Brumbies were far too good for the Reds last week, so they’re confident of handling the Drua at home.

That’s reflected in betting markets with the Brumbies at –18.5, but the Drua have played well at times, especially when beating the Crusaders.

They also come off a win over the Rebels 38-28, so there is momentum with the Drua, who are good enough to keep it close on Friday night.

We think the Brumbies are the much better side, but 18.5 points is too much to ignore for the visitors.

Betting tip: Fijian Drua +18.5 @ $1.90

Saturday 15/4/23

12:25pm Hurricanes vs Chiefs @ Wellington Stadium

The Chiefs are the best New Zealand and probably the best team in the Super Rugby competition.

They are unbeaten after six games, but the Hurricanes are equal with them on points after seven games, so it’s a tight race at the top.

We think the Chiefs have been the better of the two teams, having beaten their Kiwi counterparts in tough games. The Hurricanes have had a slightly easier schedule, but they get to play at home.

It will be a close game, but punters get $1.72 for the Chiefs, and we can’t turn down those odds.

Betting tip: Chiefs @ $1.72

7:35pm Waratahs vs Force @ Allianz Stadium

The Force put up a fight against the Hurricanes last week, losing 45-42 in heartbreaking fashion.

It was a much-improved effort from the Force, who haven’t had much success since being reintroduced into the Super Rugby competition.

The Waratahs lost 40-36 in their most recent game, but having two weeks off could revitalise them. They are the firm favourites to beat the Force, which isn’t surprising.

However, punters must take –10.5 points. That’s a big line, but given the projection of these teams, the Waratahs should win and cover.

Betting tip: Waratahs –10.5 @ $1.90
